    Wonderful!!

I love it so far, haven't done much with it yet, I tried making a few blocks of soil and it seemed to work really well. I love how much I am going to save on $$ and plastic waste!! I cannot wait to use these more.

    Great tool!

It's great to not have to deal with so many plastic pots! I have issues with fungus gnats, so every year I have been meticulously scrubbing and rinsing my old, falling-apart plastic 6-packs with a toothbrush before re-using them. Goodbye to that chore! There's definitely a learning curve, but, with the help of various youtube videos, I'm having fun learning how to judge the ideal wetness of the soil, to screen the chunks out of the soil before making the 3/4" blocks, and how and when to bottom-water the trays. I'll pick up more lipped cookie sheets at the second-hand store next time I'm there! In the meanwhile, various things around the house (including bucket lids) are working as trays. I've started experimenting with how to arrange and label the blocks (masking tape on the edge of the tray, or a plastic pot label stuck between two blocks), and with making smaller quantities of blocks to fill out a section or a sowing batch that's not in multiples of 20 (for the 3/4" blocks) or 4 (for the 2" blocks). I find a broad metal butter knife works great for smoothing off the bottom after the blocker is full of soil, as well as for packing soil into just a few cells of the 3/4" blocker when I only want a few.
